Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample

After all this time, the situation with the pandemic still doesn’t show any signs of improvement. Across the world, we hear of troubles and difficulties, hatred and strife, war and rumors of wars, natural calamities, and terrible suffering and injustice. Our faith can really take a battering in such times and we may wonder if we will ever be able to complete the race set before us. Our hope and trust rest upon this solid foundation; thankfully, it is not dependent on our ability but rather on Jesus, who is able and does “keep us from stumbling” even as we run this race. And the best part? He will ensure we make it to the finish line and stand there “faultless” before His throne one day! Not that this is in any way a license to sin, but rather a strong hope that gives us joy in the struggle. We will make it through; our God will ensure we do! Hallelujah!

• Absolute trust in God’s work and His ways.

• A greater dependence on His grace and strength.

• A deep sense of joy that rests in the knowledge that God will “keep” us from eternal harm.
