Luke: Exploring the Life of JesusSample
DAY V // DISTRACTIONS AND PRIORITIES
We live in a world that seems to value busyness and work ethic above almost everything else. We might even think that in order to be an important person we have to always be busy or constantly have our calendars full. Yet as today’s passage shows us, busyness can actually distract us from the most important thing of all.
As we continue our exploration of the book of Luke, you may have noticed that Jesus often has a different response to situations than those around him. You may have even been surprised yourself at the things Jesus did and said!
Throughout the book of Luke, Jesus is inviting us into his kingdom and to begin to see things differently—to see things the way that he sees them.
Jesus helps to readjust our focus, give us perspective on what is truly valuable and invites us to discover the one thing that matters most in life.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Q1 // Why was Mary’s decision the better one?
Q2 // What are some things that can distract you?
Q3 // What are some reasons why prioritizing our relationship with Jesus is important?
Q4 // What are some ways you can connect with Jesus?
For Next Time: Read Luke Chapter 13-15.
