DAY 3 OF 3

GOD IS WITH US

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8)

The most important requirement in the life of an intercessor is holiness because without holiness none will be able to please God. Holiness is the absolute requirement that must be present in our lives to be close to God. Why? We must be holy because God is holy.

Lord Jesus said that a person with a pure heart will see God. This means that someone pure in heart will experience an encounter with God. A pure heart is a clean heart: a heart with no mixture of pride, greed, deceit, and evil things. This refers to someone who has integrity before God; the one who wholeheartedly practices the truth.

How can we see God? The word “seeing” here can also be interpreted as feeling the presence of God. Apostle John reminded Gaius to live in holiness: by not compromising with the world and giving a chance to the evil one to steal our attention. Stay focused on the Lord and have eyes that are focused on Christ every day. By doing this, God's disciples will be able to feel the presence of God.

Salvation is God’s gift to us. We are saved to obtain God's promises both on earth and later on when we return to the house of the eternal Father. The Lord promises us that He will be with us while we are still on earth. We can feel God’s presence and holiness when He is with us. The enemy will surely tremble at our steps with the Lord. Hallelujah.

If God is for us, who can be against us? None.
