Shall We Continue To Sin?
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2 KJV
When you are in Christ, God sees you through the Blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through the Blood of Jesus Christ that the stronghold of sin is broken. It is through the Blood of Jesus Christ that the yoke and choke of sin are broken. When Christ is your King, sin shall not lord over your heart.
Joshua 24:15 KJV puts it this way, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
You choose. You can either serve the sin of the past or you can choose to surrender to Christ. Sin is a choice. Entanglement is a choice. You choose. Choose not to sin.
Christ died for you. Christ died to break you free from the yoke of sin. Christ died so that you can live. Sin does not have to lord over you. The sting and stain of sin do not have to rule over you. Christ has given you the power and authority to crush every weapon and tactic of the enemy.
In Luke 10:19 NIV, Christ declares, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”
When you are in Christ, Satan’s power does not have to rule over you. Make the choice. Choose not to entangle your heart in the stain and bondage of the past.
