Dose Of Comfort
Isaiah 40:1
Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
When you have a toothache, you will need a painkiller to comfort you from the pain. When you trip while playing in the playground, the warm comfort from your parents would be the most wanted comfort that works well to cheer you up. A thick wool jacket will comfort you on a cold and rainy day.
According to the dictionary, comfort is a pleasant condition that comes from not having physical pain or from having an easy life with little worry. Each of us needs a healthy dose of comfort from time to time.
A comforter is a person or thing that comforts us. Jesus is our ultimate Comforter. He is a compassionate God. No matter what problems you may be going through today, you can find comfort in Him.
God’s comfort is unique, infinite, boundless, unchangeable, and ever-present. There’s nothing too hard for Him to do for us. We don’t have to go through any problem or situation alone, the Comforter is with us.
Prayer
Dear Jesus, You are the daily dose of comfort that I need to strengthen me. Thank You for being my Comforter. Amen.
