Love God Greatly: In the BeginningSample

Reflection Questions
Week 6:
1. How is God’s compassion displayed in Jonah 3? Why would God offer grace to those who rejected Him and tormented His people?
2. What does it mean to fear the Lord? How does this bring us life rather than destruction?
3. Does Isaiah 55:8-9 give you comfort or fear? Why do you think it causes this reaction in you? Why is it important to surrender our lives and plans to God?
4. What can we learn by studying the genealogies in the Bible? Why do you think God wanted us to know the history and family lines of His people?
5. Does Psalm 139 bring you comfort or anxiety? Are you glad God knows all of your actions and days, or do you wish He didn’t know everything about you? Why?

About this Plan

In this Bible study, we’ll explore the first eleven chapters of Genesis, discovering the beginnings of creation, sin, grace, redemption, and promise. We can learn to love God greatly by studying His character, especially the aspects that are challenging and raise more questions in our faith. May we be expectant that He will reveal Himself to us in new ways as we seek Him.
