Faith Without Seeing

You’re reading Hebrews 11:1 again today and for a good reason: faith can be hard to wrap your brain around! The second part of this verse as it’s worded in the NIRV says faith is being certain of what we do not see. How can you be sure of something you can't see? Faith!

We know that the end of this side of life isn’t the end at all. Even though we can’t see Heaven yet, we’re certain it’s the beginning of new life.

We didn’t get to physically see with our own two eyes that Jesus died on a splintery wooden cross. But we are certain that it happened, and we are certain that it wasn’t just a man dying a horribly gory death. It was actually the savior of mankind, the Son of God, sent down to Earth to pay for our sins.

While we didn’t get to watch that very Savior crying out, “It is finished,” we know for certain that the moment when He died had a spiritual and eternal impact for us.

What is something you can’t see yet, but you know you need to have faith in God that He will work it out?

Today is that day. Give it over to Him and fully put your faith in Him.
