Anxiety & Depression - SE StudentsSample
Do you feel the rain clouds starting to pull away? The racing thoughts beginning to still? Do you feel freer today? If so, how incredible!
The journey you are on ( fighting anxiety and depression), is not over though. We are in a constant battle, so continue to persevere. Remember God and be strong in Him. Don’t give in to the thoughts the enemy wants you to believe. Stand strong against his schemes.
At the end of Psalm 77, the psalmist continued his praise of God; he continued fixing his mind on what was praiseworthy.
Even after he redirected his thoughts, the psalmist actively chose to fix his mind on God’s goodness. He came to realize that even in his anxiety and depression, he was being led by God the whole time “though his footprints were not seen.” God never left him, and He’ll never leave you—no matter how deep you get into painful emotions.
Our thoughts have a way of hiding the footprints of God’s guidance, grace, and goodness. Keep challenging those thoughts because God is fighting for you and with you!
