Now you know how to make a permanent change in your thinking and follow the ABCs of fitness. You need to ASK for help. You need to BELIEVE that God will answer your prayers. And you need to CHECK YOUR MOTIVE to have a lasting effect on your health and happiness.
We have all heard voices in our heads telling us we are not good enough or strong enough to succeed. We all have a long list of reasons why we should quit or never start. These lies are the obstacles that we need to overcome.
How do you identify a lie? Use this simple filter - God is always loving and accurate. Everything else is a lie. If you hear a voice that is accurate but unloving… it is a lie. If you hear a voice that is loving but is telling you to do something inaccurate… it is a lie. If through prayer, God points out something in your life that needs to change, AND it is done in a loving way… that is TRUTH. If we are going to push out the lies in our heads, we need to develop relentless conviction.
Relentless conviction is knowing what God says about you and refusing to let go of that truth. You need to identify the lies about you and replace them with the truth found in the Bible.
Practice RELENTLESS CONVICTION each day!
I would encourage you to pray each day to God something like this:
God, Sometimes I believe the lying voices in my head that tell me I am not good enough to reach my goal. Sometimes I confuse these lying voices with your voice even though it is not true. Remind me who you say I am. Remind me to not quit or give up. I know you will not give up on me. Give me discernment to know the lying voices from your voice. Give me the strength to practice relentless conviction.
