Prayer: Time With GodSample

Have you ever been talking to someone and you know that they are not listening to you? Isn’t it frustrating sharing your heart with someone who is not paying attention? We can sometimes believe this about God too. We can falsely assume that God isn’t listening to us because he might not be doing things in the way that we would like him to. We need to know is that God isn’t some magic genie whose main job is to grant our wishes. God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is working all situations out for our good, and the things we ask for may hurt us. We need to understand that God is always listening and is ready to listen. We shouldn’t allow the progression of a situation to determine whether we keep communicating with him. Choose to talk to God today and have confidence that he is listening.

Sometimes our prayers can become a wish list of things we want, and we want you to focus on others today. Pray for a friend or family member today and let that person know that you are praying for them.
