Start Every Day With a Great ThoughtSample
Surround Yourself with Positivity
Reflection
Living your life each day with positivity all around you affects your life experience. The people you spend most of your time with carry within them their atmosphere, whether positive or negative. Spending your time with positive people will bring about positive experiences. A lot of times we tend to hang around negative places and people. This affects our lives and makes us experience a lot of negative events in our life.
One way you can experience positivity is to spend time with God. Spending time with God brings us into the consciousness of His beauty, splendor, and majesty. This brings positivity your way as you begin to view life from the perspective of the presence of God. All of our hurts and pains become shadows as we spend time in His presence. We no longer focus on our failures and weaknesses. Rather, we pay close attention to His love and are transformed by the overwhelming beauty of His presence. Our thoughts, feelings, and emotions become different as we spend more time with God.
This is what David described in Psalms 23. "He leads me beside still waters; He restores my soul." The moment you begin to spend more time with God, your energy is revived, and you experience so much peace and tranquility. We spend more time with God by being watchful in prayers, studying his word, and being thankful for all that He has done. The outcome of this lifestyle is that you rise beyond all the negative baggage from your past and even from negative people around you. You become full of light and treat people with love. Decide today to embrace positivity by spending more time with God.
Prayer
God, I want to spend more time with you. I need your help to live for you each day. Help me to be more prayerful and thankful. I receive help to study your word.
Next step
Find a quiet place to spend more time with God today. Pray, study the word, and be thankful to God for your life. Be grateful to Him for your past, present, and future experiences.
Scripture: Colossians 4:2
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
