Do you feel like parts of your life are hidden? 

Do you ever feel like parts of yourself, in fact some of the most important parts of yourself, are hidden from other people? If you do, you're not alone. You're also not imagining things. There are parts of us that just can't be fully seen and known by other people. 

Our minds, our hearts, our deepest worries, motivations and joys are all inherently hidden to varying degrees from the eyes of other people no matter how much we desire to let them in. That is simply part of being human. There really are parts of us that are hidden. And that's before we even begin to talk about our personal relationship with God. The truth is that all of us are mixture of visible and invisible realities. 

So the next time you feel like people around you just don't understand you completely, don't mourn that truth. You are made up of more than what can be seen. You are body and soul. You are visible, and there are parts of you that are invisible. In fact, there are parts of you that were designed to stretch on into eternity. How could any other human being fully comprehend those parts of you?

You see, you are hidden in varying degrees from the eyes of everyone around you, except for one person: God. He knows you fully. He knows you better than you know yourself. 

The next time you find yourself longing to be seen and understood, begin fulfilling that desire in the presence of God. There is nothing about you that is hidden from him and there is nothing about him that you need to fear. 

When you feel hidden from the eyes of others you are not hidden from the eyes of God. You are hidden. But you are hidden with Christ in God . . . and therefore you are not alone at all.
