Day 4 - Devotional Time and Worship Music

Hey! We’re so glad that you're back again today and ready to make your devotional times with God even more powerful than they already are. Today, we are going to be talking about devotional times and worship music. 

If you’ve ever been to a church service (or even if you haven’t) you would have heard the musicians playing some worship music somewhere in the service. Do you know why most churches do this though? Worship is described as anything that glorifies or shows love and adoration towards God and, in most churches, we do this through the platform of music. We simply want to thank and praise our God. The cool thing is that we can also do this in our devotional times. We can use this platform of music to thank and praise our God in our own homes and our own times. 

The book of Psalms in the Bible is basically just a book of songs or poems written to thank and praise God. There are 150 chapters that are all songs written to help us worship Him. We also have access to incredible worship music from artists all around the world like Hillsong Worship, Elevation Worship, and Vertical Worship, just to name a few. We have such incredible worship at our fingertips to utilize in our devotional times to take us closer to God. 

Today’s devotional time - Take some time today to worship our God. Start by putting on some worship music and then praying to God. Read the Psalms on the next page and then spend 10 minutes just worshipping Him. Sing along to the songs that you’ve got playing and continue to focus on God. Make sure that you have a notepad and a pen ready to write down anything that you feel God is speaking to you about or anything that He might be doing in those moments. Have fun worshipping!
