Walking in Joy: The Fruit of the Spirit 7-Day Bible-Reading Plan by Kenneth Copeland Ministries

DAY 7 OF 7

Joy Is Healthy!

Eat right and exercise. That’s the advice most of us get on healthy living. And those are good things to do.

But what about the way we choose to live in our minds?

Research shows that stress is the underlying cause of many diseases, including cancer, heart disease, arthritis, and more. Worry, depression, and unforgiveness all contribute to poor health. It’s no wonder Proverbs 17:22 (NKJV) says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine.”

God has commanded us in His Word to be joyful. Joy is healthy—not only spiritually, but physically, too. So, when you make a decision to look at life joyfully, you’re making a spiritual and physical decision that will cause you to live an abundant life.

While eating organic, taking vitamins, and exercising every day are good choices, don’t cancel out the good things you’ve done by complaining, grumbling, or looking at life through a negative lens. Guard your heart to protect your health!

You’ll enjoy life more, and people will enjoy being around you more, too! The joy of the Lord really is your strength.
