They Could NotSample
PEOPLE ACCUSED JESUS BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY FAULT IN HIM.
As you read Luke 23, you will observe the following;
- I find NO basis for a charge against this man. Luke 23: 4
- I have examined Him in your presence and have found NO basis for your charges against Him, neither has Herod. Luke 23: 14 & 15
- I have found in Him NO grounds for the death penalty. Luke 23: 22
Three false accusations against Jesus, Ref Luke 23:2 (KJV)
1. Perverting the nation (that Jesus misled, He engaged in false teachings and undermined the law and order)
2. Forbidding (that Jesus encouraged the people not to pay taxes to Caesar)
3. Saying, that Jesus claims to be Christ, a King.
People knew that these were nothing but hateful lies. They had one intention and that was to get rid of Jesus, completely! But what is fascinating when you read this chapter is that the two Roman officials, for four times, said that Jesus was innocent.
When I read this Chapter, I wondered, how can someone who fed the 5000, someone who healed the sick and raised the dead, someone who loved sinners, someone who touched people with love and compassion be accused?
Jesus is love! Jesus is mercy! Jesus is compassion!
Note this my friends; there is no truth in the enemy (John 8:44)
He uses two weapons:
1. False witness (lies, simply speaking false in any matter, lying and deceiving)
2. Slander (defaming someone, damaging their character)
The enemy tried all his gimmicks against Jesus but he failed, he failed big time!
Even in this season, let us remember the suffering Jesus took upon himself on the cross.
Take away:
What is your stand today? What are your convictions?
Are you willing to stand for Jesus while the world denies Him?
YES, PEOPLE ACCUSED JESUS BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY FAULT IN HIM, THEY JUST SIMPLY COULD NOT.

About this Plan
Everyone must really take time to meditate and reflect upon Jesus' life, His ministry, His sufferings, His final hours on the cross, His death, burial and resurrection. Because that is the gospel. Here, Sam & Mildred, FaithMuscles101 bring their thoughts and reflections on the final sayings of Jesus on the cross in a progressive 10 day plan called, 'They Could Not'. Please read and be blessed.
