Bold Faith - Part 3 - SE StudentsSample
When’s the last time you finally achieved something after working so hard on it? Maybe you studied really hard for a test, and you ended up getting a great grade. Or maybe you put in countless hours training and finally made the team. Whatever the moment is in your life, it’s an amazing feeling to see something finally happen and be resolved.
For Joshua and the people of Israel, they felt this feeling of relief and joy when the walls of Jericho came crumbling down. They had spent so many days marching around the city. They spent many nights worrying about whether it was going to work. They were willing to look like fools, to be made fun of, in order to be faithful to God and listen to Him. The beautiful reality is that in the end, they got to experience something amazing because they trusted in God. They had faith that He would do what He said He was going to do. What’s amazing is that they got to see God’s strength and wonder right in front of their eyes, and because of Him, they had victory.
What is an area of your life that you have seen God win in? What has God done in your life that you can praise Him for? Today, take some time to think about the good things that God has done for you. Listen to the song “Goodness of God” to help remind you of all of the blessings God has given you.
