Habits in High School

DAY 34 OF 35

Written by Emma, age 14, from Milledgeville, Georgia, USA

Can I be really honest? Being a freshman in high school can be really hard. Between facing temptation, lack of confidence, trying to get good grades, and friend drama, sometimes it feels like I can’t catch a break. As high schoolers, it can be easy to get so wrapped up in all the things that are going on around us that we forget about the One that sent us here, God. He didn’t send us here to worry and stress out about daily things, but to follow Him and tell our friends about Him so that Heaven can be a crowded place! When I was in the seventh grade, my best friend and I decided that we would try to lead a bible study for our middle school. I was extremely nervous and scared. I was going to be teaching people who were older than me and I didn’t want to be judged, but I went through with it because I wanted to share the good news about Him! It turned out to be one of the best decisions that I have ever made because I got to spread the word every week and do what I love! So, never be afraid to follow Jesus, encourage others and share about how good God is because it could be the best thing you ever decide to do and it might even lead someone new to Jesus!
