Why We Need to Keep Coming Back to the WordSample

Why We Need to Keep Coming Back to the Word

DAY 4 OF 4

We need to keep reminding our own heart of what God has said

It is important to keep coming back to the Word of God because the Bible tells us the importance of being reminded of what God has said:

“For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.” (2 Peter 1:12-15)

It is important to be reminded regularly of what God has said in His Word – even of truth we already know. We receive reminders by coming back to the Word over and over. When we come back to the Word over and over for reminders, our life can keep being changed.

When we are reminded of powerful spiritual truth in the Word of God, we are stirred up. The stirring up will bless up, and keep us on the path of God’s purpose for our lives.

About this Plan

Why We Need to Keep Coming Back to the Word

The Bible is life-changing. Not only does reading, and responding to God’s Word change our lives today, but it can continue to change our lives as we keep coming back to it over and over throughout our lives. In this 4-Day Bible Plan, Evangelist Matt Brown shares why we need to make a habit of coming back to our Bibles often.
