You Are God's FieldSample
A transformed body
In 1 Corinthians 15, the apostle Paul argues that the resurrection of the dead is a core element of the Christian faith. For, he says, “if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins" (1 Corinthians 15:16-17).
But there were still open questions as to the exact nature of the resurrection. What kind of body will people have when they are raised from the dead? Paul says that it will be totally different from their present body. He compares this process to the sowing of wheat: a bare kernel is sown, and God gives it “a body as He has chosen”. The grain does not resemble the seed at all, although every kind of seed produces its own kind of plant. So is it with the resurrection body: it will be imperishable, glorious, and spiritual instead of perishable, dishonorable and natural. It will resemble Jesus’ glorious resurrection body.
Are you looking forward to having such a body?

About this Plan
In several parables, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a field where a man sows seed. This reading plan seeks to discover which spiritual lessons we can learn from Jesus’ parables and from other Bible verses about seeds and sowing. Thanks to Gospel Images for the beautiful image.
