“For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, amen.”
Think for a moment about what it means that the kingdom, power and glory belong to the Lord. In view of our suffering, the suffering around us, our failures, needs, and the needs of others, how reassuring is it that ultimately God is over everything and will win in the end over all evil.
Knowing that the Lord reigns over everything may not seem like an immediate answer to what we face, but when we reflect on what that really means, it gives us an unshakeable hope that helps us persevere. We were never promised an easy life; on the contrary, we were promised that we would have troubles and difficulties, but we belong to the One who will triumph in the end.
Today, in the midst of those difficulties, we can cry out to him, giving him all our burdens, knowing that he is stronger than anything we face. What wonderful news! No matter what I face, the Lord is with me and strong enough to remove the challenge or get me through it. Let’s rejoice in this and praise God that all glory and power are his forever.
What do today’s passages reveal about God? How can you find encouragement in these prayers of worship?

Prayer is a mystery. How do we pray? What do we pray for? If God already knows everything, why do we pray? We know prayer is a crucial aspect of the life of a Christian, but it is often a challenge. Going through the example that Jesus gave us in the Lord’s Prayer, we will explore different elements of prayer and discover ways to develop our own prayer life.
