Who You Say I Am – Part 2Sample
Jesus shared lots of stories to teach His disciples and followers what God's love and God's Kingdom is all about. Jesus shared the story of the prodigal son who took his share of his family's money and set off for a country far away and wasted it all on wild living, doing whatever he liked. Soon the son found he had nothing and longed to return to his father's household. The son thought he wasn’t good enough to be treated like a son in his family and maybe he could be a servant instead. But when he returned home, His father saw him in the distance and ran to him throwing his arms around him saying, “My son that was lost is now found!”
The story Jesus shared paints a picture for us of what God's forgiveness is really like. God says we are forgiven. When we return to our Heavenly Father we are like the lost son in Jesus' story, lost and now found. I am who God says I am, and He says I am forgiven.
Read today’s verses to discover the story of the lost son.
