The Little OnesSample
The Voice
During a study conducted by Stanford School of Medicine, MRI scans showed more significant brain activities when children under 12 heard their mother’s voice in comparison with the voice of strangers. In another study, newborns showed preference for their mother’s voice and recognized their father’s voice.
The outcome of these studies makes me feel special and more connected to my little ones. It also makes me wonder about how God feels when we value His voice. I am not sure it is okay to say God feels special. He is God, and He doesn’t need me to make Him feel special.
However, I believe God appreciates us valuing His voice, and He is very pleased with us each time we choose to obey His voice. Valuing God’s voice increases our ability to recognize His voice and daily become like Him.
Studying and obeying God’s word, and seeking to know what God is saying concerning ALL our plans (Proverbs 3:6) are some of the ways we can show that we value God's voice.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. John 10: 5, 27 (KJV)
Let us take a moment to reflect on the voices that influence our decisions. Are they the voices of strangers? Is the voice of popular media influencing our decisions? Is God’s Word the strongest influence in our lives?

About this Plan
In Luke 18:16, Jesus said the kingdom of God belongs to those who are childlike. Jesus' statement implies that the little ones around us can help us understand the faith life and God's heart. Journey with Temi Michael-O as she draws a parallel between the life of faith and early childhood. You will learn how to become childlike at heart, not childish.
