Raising Kingdom Builders Sample
7) Sharing Your Story
Though raising our children to become righteous men and women of God could continue for longer than just the seven days of this study, this final principle is one that will truly give your children ownership of their faith on a deeper level: the importance of sharing the Gospel with others.
As you begin to engage with your children and their developing faith in Christ, it’s crucial to teach them about sharing their salvation with others. The last thing Jesus tells His disciples in Matthew’s gospel is to “go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in theme of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” But in today’s world, how do we do that?
For us, the key to sharing God’s story of salvation with others is by sharing your story! When we come to know Jesus, regardless of our age, things begin to change and we now have a story from death to life! As a parent, you get the privilege of walking alongside your children as they discover more and more about themselves and God. Along the way, you have the chance to encourage them to remember both the good and bad parts of their story, knowing it can influence someone else’s.
Pray for your children, disciple your children and demonstrate for them a model of sharing your story with those around you. God desires to use the brokenness in you and your children’s lives. As He does, you and your child will see evidence that they truly were raised to be Kingdom builders.
About this Plan
There is a difference between simply raising your children, and raising your children to be kingdom builders. This 7-day plan is geared toward parents who desire to see their children build the Kingdom of God.
