Change: Coping & Embracing Life’s ChallengesSample
Day 3: Resist, Ignore or Embrace CHANGE
While we tend to think that we can control change, much of life’s challenges are something that happens to us. When we don’t learn to embrace change, we will often take the road of resisting or ignoring the change around us.
Resisting may look like fighting back with God and others with the change.
Ignoring may look like finding ways to numb yourself and not deal with the change.
At the end of the day, we are called to Embrace change, because we are trusting that His way is good, just, and loving.
How can we do that well?
One of the best ways to embrace change is by saying “thank you.” It’s an active way to trust God’s plan for your life. Instead of living your life with complaint and ingratitude, you can choose to welcome all of God’s movements in your life with a “thank you,” even when you don’t fully understand it.
PRAYER:
God, help me to believe that you are actively working for my good. I surrender and trust you now.
NEXT STEP:
Find one change in your life that you are resisting or ignoring and say to Jesus, “thank you.”
