Getting Ready-21 Days of PrayerSample

In Psalm 46 we are reminded that God is our refuge and strength. Refuge means to be in a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble. As believers we have the opportunity to be constantly in the presence of God because of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. With this connection to our Father comes protection. God desires to protect us from all darkness, to place us in his will of holiness. 

Today I challenge you to read all of Psalm 46 out loud, or even audiobook it in the bible app. Reading scripture out loud allows you to connect with God in a new way. Even Jesus quoted scripture when he was calling His Father to His defense. We are so lucky to be able to do the same thing when we face our own challenges. God has provided His Living Word to be available to us whenever we want and it is an amazing tool to deepen our relationship with Him. 

Challenge- Read Psalm 46 out loud to remind yourself of exactly who God is. 

Prayer prompt- Ask God to be a refuge for you, your family, and friends today. Pray that He would their refuge and strength.
