A New CreatureSample
A New Creature.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior — you are a new creature. In fact, the old man dies and the new regenerated man comes forth. The old things are passed away and now all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT declares, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
When you surrender your heart to Christ the past is history and now your future is bright. The old habits, hang-ups, mistakes, failures, and shortcomings are all passed away. The Amplified Version expands upon 2 Corinthians 5:17 AMPC in the following manner, “Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!”
When you are in Christ, you have the choice to begin again. Choose to begin again in Christ. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have fallen away from Him, simply say this prayer:
Father God, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sin and I turn to You. Father, I receive Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died just for me.
I believe that His blood washes me and cleanses me from all unrighteousness. Father, in You, I am set free. Father, through the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ, my past is history and my future is bright.
Father, In You, I am made new. Father, in You, I am complete. Father, in You, I am made whole. Father, in You, I am restored. Father, I surrender every area of my life to You now and forever.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
