Quick Question: How Do I Find Joy?Sample
Every single day, there are reasons to be joyful. Joy is something that is like happiness, but deeper and more permanent. Sometimes, joy is something that is hard to feel- maybe you had a bad day at school, you and your sibling got in a fight at home, or your sports team lost their game. Bad things happen, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to be thankful for or joyful about each day, because there is! In the book of Psalms, which were songs and poems mostly written by a famous King in the Bible, there are so many prayers of thanksgiving to God. The author knew that each day is special simply because God gave it to us- and God is always good. There is always a reason to be joyful when we wake up in the morning and when we go back to bed at night because God gave us this day and made it just for us. That is a reason to be joyful!!
Challenge: Today we challenge you to identify 5 things that you are thankful for. They could be big things, like a new phone, or small things, like a good lunch at school. No matter what they are, write them down, and then thank God for giving you those things and more. Thank Him for this day that He made!
