Building 429 - UnashamedSample
Ocean Deep
Are you anxious? How about we be honest and admit we all worry about many, many things...really everything! Money, family, career, world events, etc. they sit in the back of our minds and steal our joy. Personally, I struggle with self-reliance. For some people, that anxiety manifests itself in outburst of anger, in others it may manifest in a complete shutdown. Either way, our response has a lot to do with the outcome of the situation.
While we might jump to self-reliance in our anxiety, sometimes you just can’t work yourself out of a hole. Sometimes it requires someone to jump down in it with us and show us the way out.
“Would you look at me, here in my frailty. I’ve been living a lie, believing that I could earn this. Would you look at us. We say we know Your love and still we think if we fail somehow You won’t be enough”
“Ocean Deep” is a deeply personal song that has brought great clarity in my life...maybe because I have to sing these words every night. I truly hope that you can see that our provision comes from the Lord and wherever you are, know this: no amount of money, fame, or notoriety will ever ease the anxiety in your heart... only the assurance of Jesus can do that. So rest my friend. His mercy is an OCEAN DEEP.
