Praise in the Midst of the Storm Sample

Envision an Exit 

“This too shall pass.” Although not an actual Bible verse, this encouraging adage can offer much hope during the devastation of a storm, especially when all you can see around you are black clouds and all you can hear are loud claps of threatening thunder that shakes and startles the soul. You ask yourself, “Will this ever end?” The answer to this question is a resounding YES! 

Why is this stated with such emphatic confidence? Because if you are reading this right now, you are a “statistical survivor.” What does this mean? For every storm that has rolled into your life, threatening to take you out, attempting to steal, kill, and destroy your destiny, you have weathered and overcome 100% of them. That breath you just took is living proof you are a survivor.  

Right now, you may be smack dab in the middle of a Category 5 level storm. You may feel like this is the one that is going to take you out. Now, more than ever, you need to envision an exit to this storm. You need to see God making a way where there seems to be no way, for He is the waymaker! You must see yourself on the other side of the storm.

See in your mind's eye and envision your exit to the storm.

See the sickness gone and your body feeling great again.

See a bright red PAID IN FULL stamp on a big debt of yours.

See your rebellious teenager graduating from college as you glow with pride. 

See your marriage as healthy and healed as you giggle with giddiness like the “good ol’ days” when you first fell in love with your spouse.

Whatever the storm is that you are facing, remember you are not alone. God is with you. 

God is faithful and true. You are going to SEE A VICTORY on the other side of the storm, no matter what. He hasn’t brought you this far just to let you drown. While the winds may be howling and the boat may be rocking,  you should remember just one thing...

Jesus is in the boat with you!
