Never forget. There have been many times in my life that I never want to forget; like my wedding day and the moment I heard my babies cry and I held them for the first time. These are all monuments in my life that draw me to praise and gratitude. There are so many other times in my life that have shaped who I am today, and I never want to forget them, even the hard times.

There was a season in our lives where my husband and I found ourselves just barely getting by. God provided every month, but it was a hard season, and we were barely making ends meet on our youth pastor's income. One day, we felt led to give a large amount of money away. It was the sum of our rent for the month, but we knew it was the Lord directing us to give in faith. So, we did it. I still remember exactly where we were when my husband got a phone call, and I watched him begin to cry. Someone had just gifted us a large sum of money. The amount? Four times what we had given away the day before. Why us? I still don’t know. But that moment has been a life-monument for me. In every hard season, I can look back and remember how He miraculously provided. And He didn’t have to! Would He still have been faithful if He didn’t? Yes! He alone is more than enough. But, I believe this was a time in our lives where God worked a miracle so that we could testify to future generations of His goodness. We can now share that story with our kids to encourage them that God is always caring for us.
