The Gospel of IsaiahSample
Are You Available to God?
“Here I am.” I am available to God. You see this response from Isaiah (Isaiah 6). You see it from Abraham (Genesis 22). You see it from Mary (Luke 1). It is the response God looks for from His people. It is the response God longs for from His children. It is the response of faith. It is the response of trust. It is the response of a servant. “Here I am. Here I am, Lord, ready to do your bidding. Whenever, wherever, whatever. Send me.”
But there is a downside, or should I say a hard side? The hard side is the risk. If you say “yes” to God’s call, where will it take you? Where will you end up? What desert will you have to cross? You don’t know. Isaiah didn’t know. He didn’t know he would face rejection and end up being sawed in two.
Abraham didn’t know. He didn’t know God would ask him to slay his own son.
Mary didn’t know. She didn’t know she would watch her own son be nailed to a cross.
You don’t know the what, the why, or the how. All you know is God. But that’s enough. It’s enough for people of faith. It’s enough for people who know their God. It’s enough for people who’ve trusted His love. It’s enough for people who’ve felt His grace.
Yes, there is a hard side. There may be pain, there may be sacrifice, but God will see you through. If you could ask Isaiah or Abraham or Mary, each would tell you; “I have no regrets. God can be trusted. It is always best to trust the Lord.”
Just as God called Isaiah, God will call you. How will you respond? God is not looking for great ability but great availability. God is looking for people who will say, “Here I am! Send me.”

About this Plan
Isaiah was a Hebrew prophet who is believed to have lived about 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. The book of Isaiah has been immensely influential in the formation of Christianity. It is frequently called "the Fifth Gospel,", as Isaiah is the prophet who spoke more clearly about Christ and the Church than any other. Let us gain some drops of wisdom from this man of God.
