Dear Child...Sample
Wait
Dear child,
I'm glad to hear your voice again. Do you remember the story of my son Abraham? A long time ago I promised him and his wife that their offspring would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. They took my word for it, but as time passed and they grew older, they thought they should help me keep my promise. So Sarah took her servant Hagar, and presented her to Abraham so that they would have a child. According to the beliefs of that time, as Hagar was her slave, that child would become her son, too. So they did as they planned, but it caused problems. This was not what I had in store for them. They only needed to wait little longer to avoid the consequence of their actions. However, that was not an obstacle to fulfill my pact and my purpose in them. Although the son that Abraham had with Hagar (Ishmael) was blessed, my covenant was with the son of Sarah, and I allowed them, even at their age, to have Isaac.
I bring this story to you because, like Abraham, you may also believe that acting on what you think is best is what you have to do. I know it seems like I'm taking too long, or that I've forgotten about you, but the truth is that my timing is perfect. I know the end from the beginning and I know when it's auspicious to give or take something from you. I've told you many times in my word that my plans are perfect, son, and even if the path seems obstructed and you think you should find a different path, wait and trust me. I'm an expert in opening the doors that will take you to the most wonderful places, but I open them in my timing, not yours. If you think that I will no longer keep my promise because at some point you deviated, I want you to erase that thought from your head and to remember that I'm faithful. I will fulfill what I have promised you. I love you son, I'm just honing your character by making you wait.
Sincerely, your Father.
