A Dive Into PrayerSample
Yesterday, we focused on what Jesus thirdly said, “Give us the food we need for each day.”
Now we focus on the fourth verse Jesus said, “Forgive us our sins because we forgive those who has done wrong against us.”
We make mistakes all the time in our life. We are not perfect. We sin against God every day.
We must confess our sins to God every day and ask Him to forgive us for sinning against Him. When we do that a burden is lifted from us.
We see that all through scripture, specifically Psalm 51. We see David, who confessed his sin about his affair. He goes before God and has forgiveness.
But what do we do when we sin against other people? Like our friends and family. We must seek forgiveness. In Matthew 6:14-15 it tells us, "Yes, if you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in heaven will also forgive your wrongs. But if you don’t forgive others then your father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do."
Forgiveness is so important. It breaks down walls in our life. It heals relationships.
When you pray, confess your sin to God and forgive others who do wrong to you.
