I'm Not Slowing Down Part 2Sample

Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit that we want to focus on in our current season. There is so much happening in our world that kindness needs to be a fruit that we cultivate, especially as Christians. If we are meant to be ambassadors for Jesus, we should lead with kindness because he leads with kindness. The Greek word “chrestotes” literally translates to “grace that pervades the whole nature of a person, mellowing out all that would be harsh in our lives.”
Kindness often changes our approach to a situation, especially if we are just trying to make a point instead of serve, help, support, and understand the people involved. True kindness is not doing what we are supposed to do; rather, it’s choosing to do what we DON’T have to do, willingly. We need to ask God to produce more kindness in us. Kindness, not condemnation, is what brings people to repentance and the true loving nature of our God.
Questions:
1. Have I been kind this week? Where can I begin to cultivate kindness in my life?
2. How can I hear from the Holy Spirit today in regard to areas of my life that need kindness?
