Clarity 

If you stand in your backyard, how well can you see the stars in the night sky? Unless you live far out past the suburbs or somewhere on a bunch of land in Montana, it’s easy to guess that you can only see a few shimmering up there. It’s breathtaking, of course, especially when there is a good meteor shower. 

But if you really want to see everything as clearly and bright as possible, you probably have to get in your car and drive until there are no more lights coming from busy streets, city buildings, or inside your neighbor’s house. 

It’s the same for us in seeing God clearly. Sometimes we can’t see how big and magnificent or grand he is. Sometimes we have to be rid of the things in our lives that are vying for our attention. 

In the wilderness, we can see God wholly and clearly, without anything else around to get in the way. If you’re in the wilderness right now, make sure to take in the whole sight.
