Refresh Your Marriage in 31 Days

DAY 8 OF 31

"You have been granted a wish"

Your partner is not a mind reader, unless he’s Mel Gibson in the movie What Women Want. This is why you have to express your wishes and expectations. Otherwise, according to Solomon, you will become sick, and all you will be thinking is: “What I want is crystal clear.” Remember, glass can also be murky.

We have both made it a rule to clearly say what we envisage and what we expect on a daily basis. This rule, in contrast to the offside rule, makes incredible sense. It helps us enormously to understand each other.

My wife is the most important person to me. Therefore, I want to know how she wants me to look. Hairstyle, clothes and moustache should primarily please her. And if you’re reading this now – is it more likely for Jesus to come down to earth than her finding your moustache cool? What have you been longing for in and for your marriage for a long time? Are these wishes realistic in your partner’s point of view? What are the next steps?

MARRIAGE-BOOSTER
Create a nice wish list. Instead of addressing it to Father Christmas, send it to your beloved. Start by writing down what gifts you can give. You can grant wishes.

About this Plan

Refresh Your Marriage in 31 Days

31 short, smart and cheeky texts want to help you to get your marriage back on track. And to keep the fire burning in your relationship. The authors Susanna and Leo Bigger want to encourage you to try something new and to tackle old issues: listening to each other, talk about sexuality and feelings, finally introduce pocket money, allow the romance a comeback, read the Song of Songs to each other. Are you ready to put more wood on the fire?
