DAY 5 - My Peace is in Jesus

Can you think of a time when God brought peace in a moment of fear?

God is omniscient. He is all-knowing. Nothing comes as a surprise to Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, if God knows everything, He isn’t just waiting for things to happen to see how He will respond, because He already knows, and He already has an answer.

If this is the type of God we serve, then we can be confident that anything that comes our way will not surprise Him, nor will it faze Him. He has an answer.

No matter what we may face right now, hold onto the hope that if God has brought you through it in the past, He can bring you through it now.

Even if we have not yet seen that type of miracle in our own life, we can talk to someone in our neighbourhood who has. 

Or better still, the Bible is filled with stories of people who experienced God’s love, healing, and peace, amongst so many other miracles. This gives us the faith to believe for our miracle.

The word of God is full of reminders of His peace. Spend time in His presence and experience His peace. 

Our prayer is that you can find the missing peace in the finished word of Jesus. It is written throughout the Bible as a reminder of the peace we can find in Him.

Questions: 

(1) What is a defining moment for you in your faith? Can you remember a time when you experienced God’s peace?

(2) How can you remind yourself of the miracles God has already done, and keep the faith for what he will do in the future?

Lord, although I may not know what tomorrow holds, I know that you are the Prince of Peace and you are with me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
