THE POWER OF LOVE
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35)
Solomon's expression of love for the Shulamite girl is a description of God's love for us; His people. God's love is for us is so strong. He proved His strong love to us through Jesus Christ. God came into the world to save us from the punishment of sin. Not only that but He also loves us forever regardless of the condition of our lives in this world. Our God is faithful.
There might be many good people in our lives, yet there's not a guarantee that all of them can understand our hearts or always be there for us. God understands our hearts and situations the best. He is omniscient and He is always there for us.
David, the psalmist, wrote that God is a Good Shepherd. Even when we are in a dark valley, the Good Shepherd will be with us and give us strength. We have to trust God even if we don't see Him with our physical eyes. We believe that God's love for us is very strong. Believe that He will surely fulfill His promises to us.
God's strong love for us makes Him faithful to sustain us. What do you think is the heaviest thing in this world? It’s not an iron weighing a ton, but a heart that is in distress and a head that is bowed down because of the pressures of problems. Only the faithful God can support us at that time. Even if we fail and fall, we can rely on our dependable God who will wake us up and raise us with a new spirit by His Spirit. God loves us very much, therefore let’s believe in Him and ensure our eyes remain fixed on the Lord who loves us.
Your love, O God, is greater than all the love in this world.
