SOAP – Psalm 37:7 David urges believers to trust God with their provision and to wait patiently for His work in their lives. In God’s Word, we see that God has a period of preparation and testing for every person called to do His will. Believers must trust that God’s timing is for our good and will lead to the best outcome in His plan for us. We must be careful not to be anxious or else we may find ourselves moving outside of the will of God. In what circumstance is God asking you to wait? Will you pray for God’s peace and joy as you endure? Father God, You are the God whose promises are sure. Lord, give me patience. Help me to remain in Your will. When You sense me moving ahead of You, place obstacles in my way. I thank You, Lord, for all the times You protected me from what I thought I wanted, but You knew were wrong for me. Bring those times of protection to my remembrance when I become anxious with waiting. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
