Don't Second Guess Yourself! Sample
FEED YOUR FAITH
The only way to stop doubting is to start (or keep) believing. In other words, the only way to starve your doubt is to feed your faith! This is so important, whether you’re preparing, waiting, or walking out God’s direction for your life.
So how do we do that? By putting God’s Word first place in our lives. By that I mean give it priority by reading and meditating in it every day, and also give it the final say-so in your life. If the children of Israel had kept believing the word of the Lord to “go take the promised land” instead of looking at the giants, they would have taken possession of their land much sooner.
When circumstances say one thing and the Bible says another, putting God’s Word first place means siding with the Word—giving it the final say-so. For example, say you’ve made a decision but things aren’t going well. Don’t be moved by the circumstances (the giants). Instead, determine to hold fast to what God has said in His Word. Read it every day. Keep encouraging scriptures handy and speak them out when you feel afraid or overwhelmed.
It takes faith to make the right decisions, and faith to stand by them. It also takes faith for seasons of preparation or waiting. Faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). Every day, look for God’s will in His Word. Decide that if the Bible says it, you’re going to believe it, regardless of the way things look or feel right now. That’s how to feed your faith, which will starve your doubt
As you read the scriptures that apply to your situation, and declare them aloud, it will help you keep the Word before your eyes and alive in your heart.
Keep the Word before you even when things are going wrong. Refuse to doubt! Doubt comes from weighing the circumstances against the Word. Faith comes from weighing the Word against the circumstances. It takes effort, but you can do it.
