The Church Family



The church is a family.

When we’re born again, we’re adopted into the family of God. We are His sons and daughters. We belong to a household in fellowship with Christ. Rick Warren said, “Church is not somewhere you go, it’s something you belong to.” We are family, so it’s all about relationships. We are to be committed and faithful to loving one another. We must show the willingness to put up with and to forgive one another just as Christ has committed and laid down his life for us. In this way, the church will display the gospel, the love of God in us, and through us, will bring hope to the world.



 



Prayer: Our Father, thank You for our church family. Thank you for adopting me into Your family. As your children, we proclaim we will walk in unity and live in harmony with each other. We will look out not only for our own interest but take interest in others’ needs, build each other and bear fruit for Your kingdom. Help us to mend broken relationships and always be willing to forgive. We ask for an increase in Your presence, power, anointing, and abundance in our church family. In Jesus name, Amen.
