“Jesus And The Crippled Woman”
Who are your friends? Are there days when you feel like you don’t even have one person to count on? Days where you just feel invisible? Today’s verse tells us about a woman in the crowd who had been crippled for many years. She was alone, stooped over, and just minding her own business. But on this day she had a crash encounter with Jesus Christ. He called to her and gave her freedom from her circumstances.
These leaders who condemned Jesus were more concerned with laws than relationships. Jesus, on the other hand, wanted the relationship. He specifically called this woman to come to Him. He knew what she needed and freed her from what was burdening her. He then threw it back into the face of the angry leaders that they were willing to show more compassion toward their animals than they were willing to give this woman. It didn’t matter the day, the time, or even who was around; Jesus was there for this woman and He wanted to take care of her.
Jesus is also there for us. He is available every day, not just on Sundays. He is here to give you comfort and relieve any burdens you may have. He calls you by name. All you have to do is take that step toward Him. Jesus – the best friend anyone could ever have.
Pray
- Thank God for being your best friend.
- Ask God to show you someone around you who needs encouragement this week and be their friend.

About this Plan
Anytime a crash occurs everyone involved are impacted and many times forever changed. In the Gospels the same thing happens when people crash into the life of Jesus. Their lives are impacted by his teaching, healing, and love. We want to give you an opportunity for the next 30 days to have your life forever changed by crashing into the life of Jesus by checking out a new story from the Gospels each day.
