There's Hope For TodaySample

The detail and retail of the Christmas rush overpower the most compelling Christmas truth: God in the Bethlehem manger!
Shepherds knew they had seen the deliverer, but did not realize that they had seen the face of God. Fishermen knew He was a great teacher, but they failed to recognize that God was using their boat for a platform. The moneychangers must be counted among the most fortunate of men. They ticked-off God and got away with a whipping. Roman soldiers didn’t realize they were piercing the hands of God when they nailed Jesus to the cross. Israel’s wisest teachers, experts in the Scriptures, students of God, didn’t recognize Immanuel: God with us.
Though we have the benefit of hindsight, we, too, can miss the glory of His presence. We find what we seek with a singular purpose. Too often we are seeking everything but God. We are a driven generation, looking for big scores and cold cash security. God is oft reduced to a Sunday addendum as we grasp for the brass ring. Are we as blind as the Pharisees?
Every day is a quest for God – more and more of Him. Don’t let trivial pursuits take center stage. We are not just living out a creed; we are walking with the one and only God.
