There's Hope For Today

DAY 15 OF 366

SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA: Daniela is a 10-year-old student at the Cristo Rey School. She wrote to OneHope concerning her recent conversion. She paints a bleak picture of life before coming to know Christ. You may ask, “How bad can it be for a 10-year-old girl?”

Daniela confesses a list of what some might call childish infractions, but it is punctuated by the devastation and loneliness she felt when her parents separated. This tragedy broke her heart. As her little world was falling apart, Daniela was given a copy of the Book of Hope at school. She read the book, and believed God’s Word. “Jesus came into my life just when I needed Him the most,” she said. Daniela began to pray that God would bring her family back together again. Never underestimate a child’s faith. “God granted me my wish,” she writes. Daniela’s mother has now become a Christian, too. Together, they are believing God for the salvation of the entire family. Of her father Daniela writes, “I know one day he’ll change.”

God’s Word in the heart of a 10-year-old girl has power to change an entire family. If we will take the Word of God to all the children of the world, we can heal broken families; we can change the world.
