Faith Has an ActionSample
Learn and Get a Mentor
“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” –Isaac Newton
After Elisha was selected to be the next prophet of Israel, we don’t hear from him for some time. Elijah is still the man of God and Elisha is in the shadows. Don’t despise small beginnings and enjoy the early journey. There will be times where you may feel that you have been forgotten. Elisha had to put action to his faith while learning to be the man of God.
This could be a time where people get distracted or discouraged. Put trust in the process and know God has plans to give you a future and hope. Elisha watched Elijah, learning from him, and in the end, Elisha repeats the amazing miracles that Elijah had done and more.
In my own life I have both been mentored and mentored others. Sometimes mentors do this from a distance and at other times, up close. Don’t feel that you have to ask someone the awkward question, “Will you be my mentor?” Learn from those who are bearing the fruit for God.

About this Plan
We must put action to our faith! We will study two amazing prophets from the Old Testament—Elijah and Elisha—and see how they put action to their faith.
