2 SamuelSample
Questions to consider:
1. What does this passage teach you about God?
2. What does this teach you about humanity and the world?
3. David sends people to comfort and extend friendship to the new Ammonite king, but what do the Ammonites assume David’s motives are? Like the Ammonites, are you quick to judge other people’s motives?
4. Read verse 12. What does Joab tell his men as they go into battle? How do you respond when facing something challenging?
Let’s pray:
Father, I confess that I am quick to judge other people and assume their motivations. Only You know what is in their heart, so help me to trust you and be slow to pass judgment. Today, as I face a variety of challenges, help me to depend on You and trust Your will for my life.
