Book of Ezekiel

DAY 1 OF 12

THE LORD’S WARNING

When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. (Ezekiel 3:18) NIV

The Word of God is very useful in our lives because through the Word of God, not only our faith becomes strong and our spirituality grows but we will also be reminded, rebuked, and taught by God. The Word of God is a guide in our lives so that we would always stay on the right paths.

The Israelites received a warning from God through the prophet Ezekiel. What Prophet Ezekiel said was the Word of God for the people of Israel. Actually, every warning was good for the Israelites, because it would make them aware before bad things happened to them. A good father will surely warn his children when their children make mistakes. This is the proof of the father's affection.

God did not only use Ezekiel in his day to warn the people of Israel. We are also God’s instruments to warn those who walk in the darkness so that they would realize their mistakes, turn to God and receive His forgiveness. Let us keep on praying, reminding and strengthening fellow believers so they will remember the Creator. This is our duty and responsibility as believers. God wants all human beings in this world to realize that the salvation of the Lord is still available. Therefore, as long as there is time, do not waste God’s given opportunities.

Let us keep on praying, reminding and strengthening both fellow believers and others so that they will remember the Creator.
