Great Adventurers (Week 5)Sample
Day Six - A Willing Heart
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
Mary had such a willing heart and God blessed her with becoming the mother of Jesus, the Saviour of our world!
READ:
'An Angel Visits Mary' in the Beginners Bible (pages 266 - 270) or Luke 1:26-38
Because of Mary’s willingness God blessed her with becoming the mother of Jesus! That’s incredible!
But more than that, God blessed us too! When Jesus died and took the place of our sin on the cross, God blessed us with eternity in Heaven with Him!
Mary was brave and courageous; Mary had a willing heart! God changed our lives for good, through the birth and death of Jesus!!!
Jesus went to the cross and died because He loves you so much!
ASK:
Have you asked Jesus to be your lifelong friend? It's ok if you haven’t because you can today if you would like to!
Jesus wants you to live your life knowing Him and loving Him. If you would like this, ask your grownup to help you say this simple prayer -
“Dear Jesus, thank you for forgiving me for all the things I have done wrong. I believe in my heart that you died for me and that you came back to life. I love you and will live for you every single day of my life. Thank you for loving me and saving me. Amen”.
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I’m an adventurer,
I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,
I will follow wherever you lead.
I won’t stop, I’ve been set free.
In Jesus name, Amen!

About this Plan
In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Mary and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
