GOD'S LOVE

Lifetime guarantee! We see that on things that we buy and wonder, whose lifetime? My lifetime, the lifetime of the item, the lifetime of the maker? And what are they guaranteeing? The thing that breaks or just a limited range of things? We are naturally suspicious of these sorts of claims.

What about God? He tells us that He loves us, and here we see that His unfailing love surrounds those who trust in Him. The great thing about God’s unfailing love is that it frees us from worry and woes. This doesn’t mean that we’ll have a carefree life. It tells us that, no matter what, God’s love is there with us. That is why the wicked (those who don’t know God) have woes, because they do not have God’s unfailing love with them.

So we can be glad, and rejoice, because we have a lifetime guarantee given by God Himself. In fact, it is an eternal life guarantee. So, with certainty, we can be glad and rejoice and sing His praises. We have an upright (noble or faithful) heart, one that loves God and wants to follow Him.

What a wonderful thing to have at the center of our lives – something to praise God about.
