GO2020 | ENGAGE: May Week 4- GOSample
May 30—Open Doors
Read
Revelation 3:7-8
Reflect
Each of us receives a call from God, yet we are meant to work together as the church. God is the one who also opens the door in each community for those who will hear the gospel. He is also the one who opens the heart of the hearers when we respond in obedience to share the message of salvation. The promise to the church of Philadelphia is God’s promise to us as well. He has set before us an open door that no one is able to shut. God is still faithful to open doors and accomplish his plan through us.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Acts 2:42. Spend a few minutes committing it to memory.

About this Plan
God wants his people to be united, joy-filled, and loving one another, in order to demonstrate that the gospel of the kingdom is greater than all our differences. Something powerful happens when we “go” together. Jesus prayed for this very thing before he died, “that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”
